The Embassy of Switzerland in Pretoria

is seeking

an Accountant and assistant in the Admin Team

to start on 1st April 2016 or the agreed appointment date.

Main tasks:

-       Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness of all financial transactions and data

-       Process day to day transactions

-       Maintain the payroll system

-       Compile the annual budget

-       Monthly and year end reports

-       Manage the full financial functions on SAP

-       Administering payments for different departments within the Embassy

-       Act as Deputy Head of Administration

Qualifications/experience/skills/personal attributes:

  • B.Com, Financial Management or equivalent
  • Previous working experience in Finance and Administration Management
  • SAP experience serves as an advantage
  • Strong IT skills
  • Knowledge of local taxation system and legislation
  • Possess excellent English knowledge with verbal, written and communication skills
  • German and/or French knowledge as well as good working knowledge of Switzerland will serve as an advantage
  • Valid working permit in South Africa
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure
  • Team player
