Are you an entrepreneur or a young start-up with an innovative project? Are you looking for a technical funding to take the plunge? The Methys Labs Innovation Challenge will provide Western Cape entrepreneurs with an opportunity to pitch an innovative project and receive a total of R100,000 subsidies in development value for a website or a mobile app. Submissions will close on November 20 at midnight.
1- Realize a one-pager (.pdf) presenting briefly your project AND complete our application form. Submit your application to firstname.lastname@example.org before Thursday 20 November 2014 at midnight.
2- Short-listed applications will be contacted by Methys by Thursday 27 November to provide further information on their project. Winners will be selected by a jury composed of last year's winner and Methys folks, and will be informed on Monday 1 December.
3- The winners will attend the Cap40 Business Awards Function on December 3 at the Cape Town Hotel School (6pm – 10pm) where the jury’s decision will be disclosed publicly.
Detailed instructions for each individual event will be given during the course of the process in subsequent communication to the applicants by Methys.
Any individual or company based in the Western Cape.
A total amount of R100 000 subsidies in development value will be awarded to the three winners.
Those subsidies are to be used against the development of either a digital store, a website or a mobile app by the entrepreneurs coming out with the most innovative concept.
Criteria such as business idea viability, disruption potential, customer adoption potential and design will be used for the determination of the winner.

On Wednesday 3 December, the Cap40 will reward the French and South African start-ups and companies which performed outstanding innovation, results and projects in 2014. For the occasion, many special guests will be invited and amazing prizes will be awarded to the winners.
